WE ARE DIFFERENT, WE ARE WARRIOR!

We teach Mikio Surai, which is a martial art that bridges the gap between traditional and modern styles. It combines self-discipline, situational awareness, survival, and tactical training to help you overcome challenges, improve social skills, and leadership.

Warrior is different than the typical martial arts school

Martial arts is a lifestyle. This means that techniques and self defense are vehicles we use to teach us life-long skills and learn more about ourselves in the process.

There is no “pay to win”

The effort put into training is what determines the reward gained from it. You don’t pay us to congratulate you or your children, you pay us to facilitate improvement and growth.

We don’t do traditional belt testing

Just like in life, you don’t pay for promotions – you earn them. Learning and demonstrating techniques are not the main criteria either. We look for personal, individual growth in our students which is what indicates their need for promotion alongside technique.

We help create growth opportunities

We create opportunities specific to the needs of our students. For example, if you struggle dealing with conflict or bullying, we’ll create a safe environment for you to practice resolving conflict or to stand up to bullying in a healthy way.

You will learn to teach

Learning to teach is part of our curriculum. Also, if you struggle with confidence, learning to throw a punch won’t help much. However, being on the leadership team, standing in front of a class, and teaching others how to throw a punch will help.

“He comes home to teach us what he has learned, filled with excitement and confidence.

If you're looking for a place to better yourself or your family, you won't find a more genuine and fulfilling experience anywhere else.”

More about us

Growth Focused

Why martial arts is important

The earliest forms of martial arts were developed for self-defense, warfare, and health. It has the unique ability to train technique, skill, and character. You will leave martial arts a better person, whether you stay a year or a lifetime.

Warrior Martial Arts is unique

Each program is tailored to the student. We focus on your strengths and even more on your weaknesses. We have faith. We give love. We have compassion. But most importantly... we are a family!

There are no long-term contracts

Most gyms have 3, 6, or 12 month membership contracts. Although this ensures predictable income, we believe a rolling month-to-month contract works best for us. We only require a 30-day advanced cancelation notice.

“My son is absolutely loving it! Sensei Lauren is such a positive motivator for these kids. Warrior teaches more than just Martial Arts skills. It builds character and confidence. I am so pleased with how they communicate to the parents through emails so that we feel connected to what is being taught in class. Joining Warrior has truly been a blessing to our family.”

"Our daughter has been with Ms. Lauren's Warrior program for 7+ years, starting when she was 3.5 years old. Within her first year we noticed how she enjoyed the respect she was able to earn by showing responsibility for things such as, being on time, remembering her uniform, and keeping it clean. She has developed and understands the meaning of perseverance and applies this to situations she encounters.”

Note from the owner

After training in styles ranging from casual to Olympic-level, I found one that truly challenges body and mind. It's a tough style, unlike anything I was used to. It forced me to confront inner weaknesses and grow beyond just meeting belt requirements. It demanded genuine self-discovery and personal growth.

My experience in EMS showed me I needed a different way to help people. I felt that God lead me to open a martial arts school and provided the means for me to be able to do so.

Our style adapts to current needs, currently addressing screen addiction and confidence issues. We focus on complete wellness—physical, mental, and spiritual—while rejecting harmful modern habits. Warrior challenges you to become your authentic self, beyond social media personas.

No matter the situation life throws at you, our goal for you is that you’ll “make it home safely”. While fighting skills matter, our students learn something more valuable: persistence. We believe giving up is the only true defeat, and finding your path is life's ultimate victory.
